The Importance of Writing our letters
3-Week Workshop -

This workshop uses 3 sessions each 2 hours each, focusing on Sharing & Active listening as we read our letters in a supportive group, in a safe sacred space.
Whether our grief is from Childhood or a person we’ve lost, writing our letters is one way to healing. When we write our letters to our inner (child, teenager, young adult) or to someone we’ve lost, stating the “TRUTH” of what happened, along with the “TRUTH” of what we deserved, these actions will move us onward in our healing process. This process brings awareness and clarity which helps us move forward in life in a healthier positive way. Not only writing our letters to our inner being or others, but having people witness us as we read them out loud, allows for mending to occur. Active listening is also a key element in universal healing. Strong emotions may emerge when reading our letters in a safe place because repressed emotions tend to appear in an attempt to be released and let go. This is an important part of our recovery. Getting in touch with our repressed emotions is key to being set free of them.
Session One - Will be an orientation to the workshop as we get acquainted with one another. You’ll be taken on a meditative journey which helps us connect to our bodies allowing authenticity to flow. We start and end our group with a check in and out period to aid in connecting & releasing old emotions. Our first attempt at writing our letters will happen in group (for 15 min) to allow for questions to be answered. Letters will be finished outside our meeting and ready for sharing the following week.
Session Two - After our check in and meditation period, participants will share their letters to the group. All that are not reading their letters will participate by actively listening. When we hold space for one that’s sharing, universal healing takes place. We’ll finish our group with check out time and go over homework for week 3.
Session Three - After our check in and meditation period, participants will share their 2nd letters to the group. All will participate this week again by actively listening as we did in week 2. A check out period followed by wrap up will end our 3-week session.
